Event Schedule
Experience the journey from first note to final bow.

Joint Rehearsal
Time: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Location: Main Sanctuary
- All choirs will gather for a collaborative rehearsal of the mass ensemble finale piece.
- Conducted by our guest clinician, this is a chance for students to:
- Experience working with a new conductor
- Prepare a unified performance with other schools
- Engage in a warm-up and blend-focused experience across choirs
- Sheet music and part assignments will be provided in advance.
Goal: Build community, set the tone for the day, and rehearse the grand finale together.

Adjudication & Activities
Time: 10:15 AM – 12:30 PM
Location: Sanctuary &
Breakout Areas
- Each choir will:
- Perform a 15–20 minute set in front of peers and our clinician
- Receive live feedback, encouragement, and actionable tips
- Participate in a short on-stage clinic session
While not performing, students will rotate through:
Listening Lounge: Watch and support peer performances
Workshop Rooms: Fun musical games, vocal technique warmups, or short break activities
Photo Booth/Backdrop: Optional group photos with signage
Goal: Create a supportive, enriching space for performance and reflection.
Followed by Catered lunch

Showcase Finale
Time: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Location: Main Sanctuary
- All ensembles return to the sanctuary for a special Showcase Concert.
- Highlights:
- Select encore pieces from choirs (as chosen by director/clinician)
- Guest performance by the clinician or host choir (if applicable)
- Mass Choir Finale – all students perform the joint piece together
Goal: Celebrate the collective talent and hard work of the day in a joyful public performance.

Meet Your Clinician
Allyssa Jones, is an award-winning musician and educator whose career spans over 30 years in the classroom and on stage. An alumna of Adelphi University (B.S. Music Education) and Northern Illinois University (M.M. Music Education), she studied with baritone Robert Sims, soprano Jayne West, conductor Larry Newland and composer Judith Lang Zaimont. Her creative credits include five solo recordings, over 35 theatrical productions, and multiple commissions for professional artists and youth ensembles, including New Voices New Orleans Youth Chorus.
Professor Jones is currently the Director of Vocal Ensembles and Assistant Director, at the University of South Florida’s School of Music.
